Metropol Palace Hotel is less than 20 km away from the Nikola Tesla Airport. Right by the Airport exit you may take a voucher for taxi to Metropol Palace Hotel or Park Hotel (15 EUR) and take the first cab in the line, right outside the exit.
As the cheapest transfer to official hotels, we may recommend taking the Bus A1 (in front of entrance) to its last station, the Slavija square (2.5 EUR). There, you may take a tram (Nos. 2, 3) to Metropol Palace (1 km away). Park Hotel is 500 m away from the Slavija square and you may reach it by taxi, or by foot (5 minutes walk).
If you come by train, the central train station is 2-3 km away from the official hotels. You can use a tram (Nos. 2, 3, 7 and 12) or taxi (see all four maps).
Upon the wish of participants, we may also organize a direct transfer to both hotels.
Belgrade has many things to offer, both in its central part, and by its two rivers, Danube and Sava. We chose only a few activities from plenty, but our team will be happy to assist if you have any special wishes. Here are some daily activities we are planning for participants’ family members, companions and friends:
A one-day trip will be organized outside of Belgrade. It is planned to visit the second largest city in Serbia - Novi Sad, that is well-known for one of the most visited music festival in the region - EXIT, held on Petrovaradin fortress. The Fruška Gora hill is situated just across Novi Sad and is rich in natural and cultural resources, there are 16 Serbian orthodox monasteries concentrated on a single hill. For wine & honey lovers, we have also reserved a visit to Sremski Karlovci, a place with “two suns” and a spectacular view of the Danube River.
The list of participants will be published on the website http://wccc2016.matplus.net. Participation of any person presented on the list is thereby confirmed.
Participants needing visa are kindly asked to contact organizers as soon as possible. Please note that we can issue a “letter of invitation”, but we are not able to confirm any cost coverage.
